Hadlow Old Pupils' Association
School records show that the first meeting of the Hadlow Old Pupils’ Association occurred in 1944, fifteen years after the school had been founded.
The old pupils association (HOPA) is open to all leaving pupils, and the boy-leavers may purchase a Hadlow tie while the girls can purchase a Hadlow bangle which has their initials and years at school engraved on it. These are presented to the Year 8 leavers at their special end-of-year chapel service and dinner.
The old pupils association is very much to the fore when a jubilee is to be celebrated and the old-pupil network needs to be activated. The last occasion was the school’s 75th anniversary on 2004.
The current secretary of the association is Dr Simon Prior (No.591 on the school roll; 1963-1966).
