Pastoral Care Philosophy
The school endeavours to provide a safe and caring environment for all the pupils, and it is this environment which forms the foundation of the pastoral care programme.
The physical, social and emotional well-being of every child is important and the school has strategies to put in place should this be compromised. Likewise, children whose behaviour and interactions compromise others will be dealt with appropriately.
The pupil behaviour management programme is based on the virtues and is underpinned by a sense of respect, truthfulness, and friendliness. It is acknowledged that everyone makes mistakes, so the key for us at Hadlow is to ensure that children learn by their mistakes and modify their behaviour accordingly. A first, minor offence is addressed with a warning, but should the behaviour continue, then steps are put in place to transform such behaviours with support of the parents.
