Scholarship Information 2011
The school offers a number of scholarships annually. These include:
- Hadlow Scholarship: this is one academic scholarship, or can be divided into two academic bursaries, awarded after a scholarship test in English and mathematics. The scholarship or bursary is awarded to incoming Year 7 pupils and covers the full tuition charges (or half of the charges as a bursary) for the two years at Year 7 & 8. Applications for this scholarship are made on the application form available from the office. The scholarship tests are conducted in June of each year.
- Trinity Foundation Scholarship: the Trinity Foundation offers a scholarship annually to any current or prospective pupil who displays a superior ability in the academic, cultural or physical dimensions. Applications for this scholarship are via a letter from the parents of the pupil detailing the particular achievements of the child. The scholarship is awarded for one year and has a value of $2500.00. Applications for this scholarship are received at any time of the year preceding the desired year of entry.
- Genevieve Lewis Memorial Scholarship: this scholarship remembers a former pupil of the school who was tragically killed in 2009. Any girls at the Y6 – Y8 level who have a particular interest or strength in sport are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Application for this scholarship is via letter from the parents with a resume of the sporting strengths and achievements of the applicant. The scholarship is awarded for up to three years and has a value of $1000.00 per annum. Applications for this scholarship are received prior to the commencement of the school year.
- HB Williams’ Trust Fund: the HB Williams Trust provides some funding for the Trinity Schools which is to be used to provide financial support for current pupils whose family may be in temporary financial difficulties and to prospective pupils who may not be able to attend the school without some financial support. The funding is not guaranteed and is distributed on a priority-needs basis over the three schools. The amount available is discretionary. Application needs to be made to the principal.
- Trinity Foundation Fund: the Foundation also provides discretionary hardship funding for families. Applications need to be made to the principal.
